The aim of the work is a comprehensive solution of an important scientific and technical problem of studying the influence of physical fields of different nature on a wide range of polymeric materials during the process of their formation and manufacture of products from them.

The basic fundamental laws have been established and the scientific basis of the influence of physical fields (magnetic, electrical, thermal, thermo-force, thermo-pulse, thermo-magnetic, electric-spark, ultrasonic, as well as processing ultraviolet radiation) on the formation of structure, properties and performance characteristics of polymeric materials, which include thermoplastics and thermosets of different chemical structure, their mixtures, micro- and nanocomposites based on them, that allows to produce materials and products with a complex of physico-mechanical characteristics of targeted regulation for solving industrial tasks and the urgent needs of high-tech industries of Ukraine, have been created.

On the basis of fundamental knowledge, a number of polymeric materials, composites, nanocomposites, coatings and constructions have been developed and created with improved, in comparison with existing in Ukraine and in the world analogues, necessary properties formed under the effect of various physical fields, innovative technologies for processing physical fields, and equipment that implements these technologies, which have been tested in industrial conditions and applied at the enterprises of the space industry, shipbuilding, construction industry, chemical and pharmaceutical industry of Ukraine.

Number of publications: including 16 monographs, 7 chapters in books, 298 articles (124 - in foreign editions). According to the Scopus database, the total number of references to the publications of authors presented in the work is 1879 h-index (of work) = 19; according to the Google Scholar database, the total number of references is 3037, h-index (of work) = 20. The newness and competitiveness of technical solutions are protected by 14 are patents for invention. On this subject 3 Dr.Sci. and 20 PhD theses have been defended.
