The authors have worked out the comprehensive approach to improvethe results of treatment in patients with diseases of the liver, biliary tract and pancreas by implementation of new minimally invasive techniques in treatment of these patients. The developed technique allows to avoid hard abdominal surgery with traumatic laparothomy, general anesthesia that require long postoperative rehabilitation period, expensive drug support.

Effective methods of laparoscopic and endoscopic treatment of pancreatic pseudocysts percutaneous punctions, draining and ablative techniques, laparoscopic resections in benign and malignant tumors of the pancreas and liver made it possible to reduce the level of intraoperative blood loss, duration of surgery, duration of postoperative in-hospital stay.

The research results are described in 513 publications, including 10 books and 35 patents. 4PhD and 8 second step PhD thesis were completed.
