Presented by the National Technical University of Ukraine "Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute", Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine.

The aim of the work is to increase the level of buildings energy efficiency by improving existing and developing new scientific and management methods for energy efficiency assessment and introducing an energy management system based on the energy rating; accounting for the interconnection of energy sources, thermal protection, thermal comfort indicators and microclimate parameters of spaces; development of buildings thermal state and technical systems dynamic models. The work solves the important scientific and technical problem of new methods development and improvement of existing approaches to energy efficiency estimation, creating the management systems for buildings energy consumption and energy efficiency taking into account economic, energy and exergy-related indicators.

The authors ensure the development of methodological aspects, methods and models of buildings energy assessment using the example of educational facilities; the method of choosing a heat source in combination with the building's enclosing structures based on the integrated value function is proposed, which allows to take into account the change in the cost of energy carriers and money over time; dynamic models of the thermal state and engineering systems of the building were created and the efficiency of ventilation systems with energy recovery was investigated.

The results of the work are of great practical importance:

- the existing approaches have been improved and new ones have been developed, the application of which will improve the management system of energy consumption and energy saving in education, determine the energy rating and assess the energy efficiency of universities, identify ways to increase energy efficiency, plan reasonable energy costs, increase the objectivity and efficiency of energy use monitoring and analysis;

- the proposed approaches, through the use of the model of thermal comfort, will allow to determine the energy need for heating under various comfort conditions, to reduce the energy consumption of the building without harming human health. The described methods of choosing the thermal protection of the building envelope in combination with the heat source allow us to systematically approach the economic justification of the design solutions. The proposed exergetic approach to the building as a whole makes it possible to analyze the use of energy quality for both design and operation phases;

- the created dynamic models of building thermal state allow analysis of heating intermittent operation modes and energy efficiency of the ventilation system with energy recovery.
