Purpose– is the determination of the effect of phytoameliorant crops and calcium ameliorants of different origin on indicators of acid soils fertility and to identify environmental and economic feasibility of their application.

The paper deals with an important scientific-theoretical problemof evaluating of the effectiveness of calcium ameliorants and phytoameliorant crops on indicators of fertility, productive capacity of soils with high acidity and qualitative characteristics of agricultural products; development of optimal doses of chemical ameliorants considering the character of crops and soils on which they are grown; determination of the list of phytoameliorant crops and optimal timing of their cultivation considering the physiological characteristics of crops and soils in which they are used.

The scientific novelty and value of the worklies in the fact that in the first time the new solution of scientific task had been theoretically generalized and suggested– the assessment of effectiveness of calcium ameliorants of natural and industrial origin on the environmental and productive functions of acid soils for their environmentally safe usage, namely: rapid action, efficiency and environmental safety of six calcium ameliorants in different acid-base balanced and buffered soils were first described; it was found that the neutralization of soil acidity increases the number of both lumbriceds and oribatids in soil, while for collembolas’ life the main limiting factor is the chemical composition of ameliorants. The latter is important for developing of bioindicators for agriecological efficiency of chemical ameliorants assessment. For the first time comprehensive assessment of direct phytoamelioration action (without plowing) of alfalfa, sainfoin, lupine, soybean, mustard and sudan grass on physical-chemical, agriphysical and agrichemical indicators of podzolized chornozem was mentioned; the most effective phytoameliorant cropsfor improving the physical-chemical (alfalfa, sainfoin) and agriphysical (alfalfa, sainfoin, mustard) indicators of podzolized chernozem were determined; the positive impact of three years phytoamelioration (perennial grasses) on acid-base buffer indicators was designated; it was found that the optimization of agriphysical parameters (structural-aggregate composition, density compilation) of podzolized chernozem was achieved with two years of perennial grasses growing. The results of the work can be used to enhance the objectivity of evaluation of agriecological changes of soil caused by the introduction of ameliorants of industrial origin; development of bioindicators estimation of agriecological efficiency of chemical ameliorants and phytoameliorant crops; development of parameters of anthropogenic pressures norming on soils of reclamation fund.
