In accordance with the requirements specified in regulatory documents, the task is to carry out theoretical, scientific, technical, research and development works on creation of the national electronic platform of a new class of domestic spacecraft – nanosatellites with high resource in near-earth orbits that meet international requirements.

On performing the task, the scientific bases of the technologies of designing and manufacturing of subsystems of nanosatellites have been developed; both subsystems and CubeSat nanosatellites Poliytan-1 and Poliytan-2 have been created and investigated in a whole. Techniques and refitted stands for nanosatellite testing have been developed. The ground station for telemetry and flight control of nanosatellites was developed and commissioned; and for the moment of Poliytan-1 and Poliytan-2 launch, whole space system has been set up on the territory of Igor Sikorsky KPI. Another three nanosatellites of the CubeSat format and the simulator of the Earth's magnetic field are in the process of development.

The methods for optimizing the energy amount of nanosatellites for minimization of energy loses, as well as algorithms for constructing power timelines, taking into account the energy consumption of nanosatellites simultaneously on all segments of the time of their orbit, were developed. New ultra-light, heat and radiation protection structural materials, carrying honeycomb carbon-plastic structures of space application are proposed and implemented. On Earth's orbit, we worked out the domestic subsystems of orientation and navigation with the receiver of global GPS/GLONASS signals in real space conditions, physical and technical bases of constructive-technological solutions of film nanocrystalline and monocrystal devices – photovoltaic converters and angular coordinate sensors.

Characteristics of the created subsystems of domestic nanosatellites Polyitan-1 and Polyitan-2 in the CubeSat format are at the level of world analogs, and some of them exceed the world's analogs in this class (for example, in the navigation subsystem, the accuracy (error) of the determination parameters: velocity – 0.05 m/s, time – up to 40 ns, height – up to 3 m). Also, the carbon-plastic honeycomb frames were used for the first time for the CubeSat nanosatellites, which provide a set of functions: carrying for photocells and electromagnets, and protective during the cyclic action of heat (cold), space ultraviolet and radiation.
