"Money and Credit: Manual" is one of the main textbooks used for training economists of higher qualification.  It has received wide public recognition and is widely used in teaching.  The manual had 6 editions (1992, 2001, 2002, 2006, 2008, 2011;  general circulation of all published editions is 36 445).  Each edition has been revised to take into account rapid changes in Ukrainian society.
The textbook describes theoretical concepts and functions of various economic categories in a free market economy such as money, credit, interest rates, money markets and foreign currencies; it then discusses the methodologies by which the banks, monetary and currency systems have developed and operate. The textbook analyses how the Quantity Theory of Money has developed and the essence of Keynesian and monetarist financial concepts.
For the first time in domestic academic literature, the textbook reveals the mechanisms of how the money supply is formed, studies the role of money in free market economy, and discusses theoretical foundations of interest rates.
The textbook is designed for students of economic disciplines in higher educational institutions, graduate students, teachers, researchers and practitioners.
