The aim of the workwas to solve a scientific problem with applied application in the field of ensuring the uniformity of measurements of volume and volumetric flow of gas – the development of a state primary standard of the gas volume and the gas volume flow rate on gas medium with pressures at to 1.6 MPa.
The scientific noveltyof the study is the development of a piston prover for the reproduction of the gas volume and the gas volume flow rate on gas medium with pressures at to 1.6 MPa, with forced displacement of the piston separator and an annular flow pattern that lacks most of the disadvantages of the analyzed similar installations. In particular: parallel application of identical piston measuring sections was implemented, which allowed to increase the control volume of the prover and reduce the random component of uncertainty; the physical model of the prover has been improved by realizing the piston seal with excess oil pressure and using the electromechanical drive unit complete with multistage gear drives and ball screw pairs, which ensures that there is no gas flow, stability of the piston separator movement and allows expanding the dynamic range of the prover. In addition, to expand the upper boundary of the transmission of the gas volume flow rate, it is proposed to develop a mobile prover with a set of parallel installed reference counters, which made it possible to transfer units of the gas volume and the gas flow rate directly to the installation site of working standards.
Practical significanceconsists in the manufacture of: a piston prover of the gas volume and the gas volume flow rate in the range of volume flow range from 4 m3/h to 200 m3/h on gas medium with pressures at to 1.6 MPa and a mobile prover with reference meters for transmission in the range of volume flow rate from 50 m3/h to 1000 m3/h on gas medium with pressures at to 1.6 MPa, included in the state primary standard.
The state primary standard of the gas volume and the gas volume flow rate on gas medium with pressures at to 1.6 MPa was submitted for consideration by the commission, which resulted in a positive conclusion. According to the order of the Ministry of Economic Development of Ukraine No. 57 of January 22, 2018, the state primary standard was approved, and SE Ivano-Frankivskstandartmetrology is defined as an organization - the keeper of the standard.
Research results are reflected in the published 13 articles (of which 9 articles in journals included in the international scientific-metric database Index Copernicus, RISC, Google Scholar, ResearchBib, DOAJ), 1 State Standard of Ukraine, 3 patents, 11 publications of scientific abstracts of technical conferences.
