The basic textbook on the appropriate regulatory discipline for mining and geological specialties. The textbook comprehensively highlights technology of design, exploration and organization of hydrogeological drilling wells. The textbook develops relevant areas of geoecological research of environmental protection – geopurhology.

The disciplinary competences were chosen as selection criterion for the content of the textbook, determined by the selection of qualifications. This allows teaching the reader to choose the way of drilling, to develop effective technology and methods of aquifers colmatation.

Availability of the textbook contents for students is realized through careful didactic processing; promoting efficiency of independent work and development of student innovation culture; suitability for evaluating academic performance; accuracy of definitions and wording.
