The aim of our study was the design and implementation into manufacture of the domestic diagnostic tool for GMO content detection by RT-PCR method.

On the basis of theoretical researches and experiments authors determined the spectrum of biotechnological agricultural crops and DNA-targets and method for diagnostic tool .

Scientific foundations of methodology of GMO-detection in food and plant-source agricultural products considering crops growing in Ukraine were created.

Conceptual foundations for diagnostic GMO-detection tool`s optimal format acceptable for national testing laboratories` requirements and possibilities were developed.

Offered to use as a targets for screening test not only regulatory elements of genetic-engineered constructs  (p35s, tNOS), but new trait`s genes also (CP4 epsp, pat, bar).

Diagnostic test-systems (the total number - 58 ) which allow to perform qualitative (screening) test, to detect quantitative  plant-source GMO-content, to identify range of biotechnological plant lines for transformation events and to perform specific identification of plant ingredients, were realized.

Comparison to world analogs. During the development and manufacture process, a series of comparative test runs was performed along with similar test systems from other suppliers, such as Applied Biosystems (USA);  НПК «Синтол» and «ДНК-Технология» (Russia).  All performance readings of the UKRMEDSTANDARD systems were in-line with the competitors’, and were significantly superior in the case of the available target spectrum.

Implemented into manufacture a first domestic series of test systems for detection of plant-origin GMOs in food, pharmacological, cosmetics, and plant-source agricultural products and feed. General number of test-systems-58.

Economical effect. The calculations for economic feasibility for test system manufacturing technology showed the following: the income index is equal to %16,8. Therefore, the project should count as profitable.  The project expenses will pay off in approximately six years (T=5,9). Break-even point of the project is within 75 percent of nominal output, which confirms the reliability of the project. The finished product sales income was 2 200,9 thousands gryvnas whole term.

Quantity of publications: 10, including 0 monographs, 0 textbooks (manuals), 10 articles (0 – in foreign editions). In accordance to Scopus database general quantity of  links to authors` publications, presented at this work, is  0, h-index (at study) = 0; in accordance  to Google Shcolar general quantity of links is  0, h-index (at study) = 0. Novelty and competitiveness of technical design  are patented   (1)  One doctorate thesis defense was submitted based on the results of this study
