The aim of the work is to increase the efficiency of use and accuracy of control of unmanned aerial vehicles, by developing a navigation and piloting system of a modern unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV).

Scientific novelty. For the first time, the following have been developed: a method of intellectualized control of an unmanned aerial vehicle; a method of autonomous take-off and landing of an unmanned aerial vehicle; a method of autonomous navigation of an unmanned aerial vehicle based on computer vision technologies; a method of intelligent control of an unmanned aerial vehicle to improve the quality of images from the onboard photo-video camera of the UAV; a method of categorization of the image stream of the onboard video camera for visual localization and mapping; an image processing method for transport infrastructure condition monitoring systems; a set of aerodynamic models of unmanned aerial vehicles for modeling and experimental research of various classes of tasks. Methods of creating software and hardware complexes for modeling flight dynamics, UAV navigation and training of military operators of unmanned aerial vehicles have been further developed.

The results of the work have been tested and implemented in the domestic UAV Spectator-M1 manufactured by «VAT Meridian named after S.P. Korolev», which has been adopted by the Defense Forces of Ukraine.
