The research paper presents the results of tectonophysical study of the upper part of the earth's crust Pobuzhsky mining area. The obtained data allowed to clarify the tectonic history, kinematic processes and mechanisms of deformation of the earth's crust of the study area, which played an important role in the formation of mineral deposits.

Structural-petrophysical and tectonophysical basis of the central part of the Golovanivsk suture zone has been constructed. It depicts practically all geological bodies shown on large-scale geophysical (magnetic and gravitational) maps, geological-petrophysical taxa and structural-kinematic data for the surface of the Precambrian basement of the region.

According to the measurements of structurally-textured elements of rocks within the Yatran’ block of the Golovanivsk suture zone, it is established that the upper part of the crystalline basement of the block has been represented by sub-vertically or steeply dipping to the southwest by complexes of rocks subjected to intensive shift deformations. This is important for exploration works, because the southwest thrust-fault structure of the block, depicted on the geological map of the crystalline basement and map of minerals of the sheet M-36-XXXI scale 1:200 000, does not affect the upper horizons available to study in outcrops and drilling, and it can only take place in the modern middle and lower crusts.

The structure and prospects for the ore-bearing of three basite-metabasite massifs of the Bug mining area (Bandurivka, Troyanka and Tarasivka) are considered on the example of the Tarasivka structure of the Middle Bug of the Ukrainian Shield.

The connection between metallogenesis and fault-block tectonics of the Ukrainian Shield has been considered, the data on the chemical and mineralogical composition and the exact location of the deposits, ore manifestations and points of increased rare-earth-rare-metallic and gold-mineral mineralization combined into eight groups have been summarized. These data are compared with the scheme of fault-block structure of the shield, built on the results of tectonophysical studies. Several detailed predictive criteria for the search for rare and precious metals have been established.
