Presented for the award of the President of Ukraine for Young Scientists in 2019.

In work an important scientific and technical problem of developing innovative, highly efficient methods of water treatment and wastewater treatment from soluble and insoluble pollutants for use in various industries, which allows to create complex of low-waste technologies for demineralization, decontamination, disinfection and dehydration of mineral residues for environmentally safe water use systems, were solved.

Scientific principles and methodology were developed for the desalination of mineralized wastewater, the purification and disinfection of drinking water, the deactivation of low-level aqueous solutions, and the dehydration of mineral deposits of different composition, the interrelationships between the characteristics of liquid waste and the parameters of their processing to produce useful products and purified water.

Low-waste technologies for demineralization of water, depending on its initial composition and quality requirements, have been developed and implemented, which allows to achieve a significant technical, economic and environmental effect that meets the requirements of modern technologies to ensure environmental safety.

The world level and value of scientific, practical results are confirmed by a significant number of publications in rating journals, indexed in the Scopus database and presented at the international conference(Krakow, Republic of Poland) within the framework of Swedish-Polish-Ukrainian cooperation project "Future urban sanitation to meet new requirements for water quality in the Baltic Sea region"; atOWL University of Applied Sciences, (Hexter, Germany) within the framework of «Water Harmony. Erasmus+»; atCa' Foscari University of Venice (Venice, Italy) and at Technical University in Zvolen (Zvolen, Slovakia) within the framework of «ECONANOSORB».

The economic effect of the implantation of ion-exchange desalination and water softening with a high content of sulphates and hardness ions and materials modified by nano-silver (sorbents, filters) in drinking water purification and disinfection systems is 1502,400 UAH/year; the rate of return on investment after implantation the method of obtaining biosorbents is 161% (payback period 1.17 years).

Number of publications on the topic of work: 227, including 3 monographs, 2 textbooks, 69 articles (11 of them in foreign editions), 130 abstracts of conferences. According to the Scopus database, the total number of references to the authors' publications presented in the work is 33,the h-index (by work) = 3; according to the Google Scholardatabase, the total number of references is 218, h-index (for work) = 7. The novelty and competitiveness of technical solutions are protected by 23 patents. On this subject 3 Ph.D. dissertations were defended.
