The aim of the scientific work is increasing the energy efficiency of electric power systems in which wind and solar power plants are operated, which are connected to parallel operation within the United Energy System (UES) of Ukraine.

Authors based on theoretical studies and experiments which have been determined favorable conditions for improving the quality of frequency regulation of the electric power system with renewable energy sources.

Scientific foundations of methods for optimal control of power flows and frequency regulation in the electric power system with diverse types of renewable sources are created in the conditions of internal overvoltages.

The basic conceptual foundations of the problem of creating favorable conditions for improving the quality of frequency regulation of the electric power system with renewable energy sources with an assessment of the influence of asymmetric and non-sinusoidal sources of voltage distortion are formed.

Methods for improving the functioning of electrical systems with distributed generation sources are proposed, which are based on coordinated management of generation of solar power stations and hydroelectric power stations to optimize power flows and reduce power losses in local electrical systems.

Based on the optimal conditions, methods and algorithms obtained in the work, a set of programs for intellectual support for the work of the dispatcher of the local electric power system was improved, which was transferred for trial operation to private company "Vinnitsaoblenergo".

The results of scientific work in government enterprises which are subordinated to the Ministry of Energy and Coal Industry of Ukraine were introduced.

The methods and measures proposed in the work are aimed at improving the functioning of wind and solar power stations within the UES of Ukraine in modern conditions in accordance with the legislation of Ukraine.
