Creative interaction of parents and children as a factor of harmonization of family relations

The aim of the studyis to determine the social and psychological potential of creative interaction in the area of family relationships.

Scientific noveltyof the scientificworkis the following:  understanding of the features of family relations dynamics under the influence of creative interaction of family members is deepened. Collective art activity as a form of creative interaction of family members is for the first time studied as a factor of harmonization of family relations. Mechanism of the influence of collective art activity of family members on the system of their relations is analyzed. Conceptual social and psychological model of use of collective art activity as a factor of harmonization of family relations is developed. It is shown that creative interaction promotes increasing of cohesion and flexibility of the family system, strengthening of the boundaries of the nuclear family and to a large extent promotes normalization of its hierarchy. Possibilities and limitations of harmonization potential of creative interaction as a factor of dynamics of family relations are founded. Types of problems in family relationships which can be effectively harmonized by means of collective art activity of family members organized in the form of family art therapy studio are identified.

The practical valueof the scientific work “Creative interaction of parents and children as a factor of harmonization of family relations”. A package of technologies that can be used to harmonize family relations is developed. The results of the scientific work can be applied to broaden the content of courses on family psychology, social psychology, applied psychology, social work at. The results of the work can be applied in preventive and corrective work and psychological counselling at psychological centers, social and psychological services, as well as by psychologists working at the organizations which are part of the system of education.

Scientific results of the work are presented in two guide-books (one – written with a co-author), thesis abstract, 12 scientific papers (5 are published at the leading professional journals, 2 of these are written together with a co-author), 4 articles at the educational press, 6 abstracts. All of these works were  published within seven years.
The work of the author is cited in 2 journals, h-index = 1.
The total number of publications is 27. 21 publications out of these 27 are on the theme of the work.
